I was recently contacted by Giant Eagle to do a review of their mobile phone services. I received a Net 10 Android and a prepaid $50 card to get one month of unlimited text, calls and data.

Of course my children were very excited to see this new phone delivered to our home.  My two youngest are still fighting over who’s phone it is.  I let them know that it is now our house phone since we had cancelled our landline years ago due to the cost.  I am happy that we now have a phone at home in case of an emergency because I know the boys misplace their phones all the time.

The directions were pretty straight forward and I couldn’t get over how easy it was to register the card online for the phone. It really only took me less than 5 minutes to do it all.

I have taken the phone out with me and was able to place calls or text anywhere I went. I don’t go that far from my home, so I’m not sure how it would do long distance.

The boys have had fun downloading apps, some are not compatible with the phone, but most of the ones they liked were easy to add.

This phone is available at Giant Eagle where they have other phones to choose form as well.  Only the GE Prepaid $50 card will work on this phone which is also available at Giant Eagle.  There is no contract. You just pay as you go. I’m thinking that once my boys phones contracts are up, I will be looking into getting another one. Right now it is about the same cost for the regular cell phone that they are using as it is for the Net 10 Unlimited deal.
